ICLA book reviews
The ICLA commissions and presents on this site original reviews of new works in and relevant to Cognitive Linguistics, broadly construed, by those who follow the field of Cognitive Linguistics.
Call for reviews
The ICLA invites authors and publishers to make their titles available for review on this site. Recent books and special issues as well as unpublished dissertations from all areas of Cognitive Linguistics and other areas relevant to Cognitive Linguistics are welcome.
We especially solicit recently finished dissertations, which represent a look at the new generation's work and in some measure may foreshadow future developments. We hope to make this page a place where new directions in Cognitive Linguistic research are first made available to a wide audience.
Please do not send books to the ICLA, but contact the ICLA book review editor and give the title of your work along with all bibliographical information and a list of 8-10 keywords. All titles received will be listed on this page as available for review. We will ask the publisher (or author, if a review copy is unavailable from the publisher) to ship a copy of the work only if the title is selected by a proposed reviewer and the book review editor makes an agreement with that person for a review. In that case we will immediately request the publisher/author to send a copy of the work to the reviewer.
The ICLA also invites members as well as non-members to choose available titles in their area of expertise and write reviews of 500-1500 words. Contact the ICLA book review editor if you would like to make an agreement to review a work on the available list of titles, or another relevant work that you propose. Please read this statement of Editorial Policy with writing and submission guidelines when preparing your review.
