CFP: Cognitive Linguistics in the Year 2025

The Polish Cognitive Linguistics Association and the Institute of English Studies, UKEN, Krakow, Poland, are pleased to invite you to the Cognitive Linguistics in the Year 2025 international conference. The conference is going to take place on 17-19 September 2025 at the Institute of English Studies at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow, Poland.

This year's edition is dedicated to various forms of language contact. We welcome submissions from applied and theoretical linguists, sociolinguists, psycholinguists, linguists specializing in translation studies, language acquisition, bi- and multilingualism, language cognition, specialized languages, language education, contactinduced phenomena, cultural influences, social history and literary studies.

We welcome submissions that explore any form of language contact resulting from/in, e.g. linguistic borrowing, linguistic creativity, language interference, translation, second/foreign language acquisition, language change, linguistic variation, code switching, code mixing and other contact phenomena. "Language" is understood to include natural, invented, national, standard and regional languages, creoles, dialects, language varieties, specialized languages, sociolects, professiolects, ethnolects, idiolects, bilingual mixed languages, non-standard uses, sign languages and other forms of human communication.
