Call for papers
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the 2017 International Cognitive Linguistics Congress to be held from 20th to 22nd September 2017 at Belgorod State National Research University (www.bsu.edu.ru), Belgorod, Russia.
This Congress will be the seventh international congress of the Russian Cognitive Linguists Association (www.ralk.info). Along with the previous events, it serves as a credible platform for the discussion of topical issues and various aspects of the interaction between language and thought, considering them among other things through the anthropocentric and interdisciplinary approaches. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world in order to discuss current problems and achievements of cognitive linguistics in Russia and abroad on the basis of the anthropocentric conception of the language.
Topics you may wish to address at the Congress include:
• Theoretical and methodological problems of cognitive linguistics and anthropocentric paradigm of scientific research
• Conceptualization and categorization of the world in the language: new aspects and approaches
• Cognitive aspects of interpretation of the world and knowledge of the world in the language
• Cognitive study of vocabulary and grammar
• Corpus research in cognitive analysis of language and speech
• Cognitive studies of text and discourse
• Cognitive Sociolinguistics
• Cognitive-linguistic modeling of social processes
• Cognitive Pragmatics
• Cognitive Terminology
• Cognitive Translation
• Cognitive aspects of speech production
• Cognitive linguistics and interdisciplinary research
All participants are welcome to join a special theme session "Cognitive-discursive linguistics: current problems and research methodology" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Professor Elena Samoylovna Kubryakova, the founder of the school of cognitive linguistics in Russia.

Full draft paper proposals to be submitted by 15th February 2017
Notification of acceptance to be sent by 17th March 2017
Registration fee to be paid from 15th March to 15th April 2017
Accommodation to be booked from 15th May to 15th June 2017
Congress dates: 20th (Wednesday) – 22nd (Friday) September 2017
Submission guidelines:
Submissions are to be made online via the Congress website http://iclc.bsu.edu.ru (will be available from 15th January 2017) or via e-mail: coglingcongr2017@mail.ru (is available now).
All paper proposals will be reviewed by the members of the editorial board.
All accepted papers will be published in the Congress Proceedings by the beginning of the Congress in the scientific series Cognitive Studies of Language (www.cognitiveres.ralk.info/
